CEC Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili has met with Public Defender Nino Lomjaria. 

Deputy CEC Chairman Giorgi Sioridze and representative of the public defender, Lika Tsiklauri, also attended the meeting.   

CEC Press Service says that Giorgi Klandarishvili expanded on the epidemiological protocol adopted through CEC voting. 

They also focused on medical institutions and the involvement of self-isolated voters in the 2 October elections. It is noteworthy that the CEC has updated the health-related legal acts recently. 

At the meeting, they also made reference to the important legislative amendments within the election reform. Deputy Chairperson of CEC, Giorgi Sioridze, placed emphasis on the video monitoring of the 2 October elections vote counting process, which is a significant innovation. 

Ombudsman Lomjaria said that she was provided with information on a number of issues related to election transparency and issues detected by her in the 2020 elections. In her words, the information campaign on coronavirus recommendations and procedures to complete to participate in the elections is of vital significance in the present state of play.
