The Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, Archil Talakvadze, met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan, Faig Guliyev.
At the introductory meeting, the two politicians talked about the historic friendship and partnership ties between the two countries and focused on deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation. The importance of close relations between parliamentary friendship groups was stressed. At the same time, the sides discussed the importance of peace and security in the region.
Talks focused on the challenges caused by the global pandemic. It was noted that once the pandemic is over, speedy recovery of trade links and tourism is a priority for both countries.
The Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia wished the Ambassador success in his activities and expressed readiness for cooperation.
