Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani has congratulated Kelly Degnan, the US Ambassador to Georgia, on taking office and stressed that her appointment would, even more, strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
"Strategic partnership between Georgia and the US has never been stronger than it is today. It is strong in all fields envisaged by the Charter on Strategic Partnership, whether it be defense and security, cooperation, commerce, economy, democratic relations, and relations between people," Zalkaliani said.
In Zalkaliani's words, the statements by the US Ambassador on the progress by Georgia are essential.
"We are immensely pleased with the statements by the US Ambassador on the progress achieved by Georgia in promoting the country's economic development, strengthening different institutions, combating corruption, and cooperation, which we developed in the fields of defense and security. I believe our cooperation with the US Ambassador will be immensely productive and will take our partnership to a new level," Zalkaliani declared.
