"The Prime Minister's video conference with the European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations was significant and interesting. Coordinated activities are very important when the entire world, the European Union, Georgia is fighting COVID-19," Davit Zalkaliani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said after the video conference of Giorgi Gakharia and Oliver Varhelyi.
"We are especially grateful for the financial assistance provided by the European Union, and we talked about further expanding of assistance to combat COVID-19 effectively. The Prime Minister informed the representatives of the European Commission about the efforts of the Government of Georgia. We have positive assessments from our European partners, and it is very important because only with a united effort will it be possible to deal with the pandemic," Zalkaliani said.
