Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani met with Fuat Oktay, the Vice President of Turkey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, attended the meeting. The Vice President congratulated Davit Zalkaliani on his appointment, wished him success as well as to the Georgian government, and invited the Prime Minister to visit Turkey.
The sides reviewed all areas of Georgian-Turkish strategic cooperation and expressed readiness to actively cooperate in developing bilateral relations, as well as in the effective implementation of projects of strategic importance.
The Foreign Minister thanked Turkey for its assistance to Georgia during the global pandemic. The parties expressed readiness to cooperate in this direction in the future actively.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation in the region.
