The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Davit Zalkaliani, responds to a statement made by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Twitter.
"Exemplary defense and security cooperation between US and Georgia will strengthen in the years ahead. Deeply appreciate unwavering US support to Georgia's defense capabilities, our resilience & Euro-Atlantic integration," he writes.
The US Secretary of Defense responded to a telephone conversation with Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze on his Twitter account, noting that the United States remains a strong supporter of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
