"If the epidemic situation worsens after the opening of the border with five countries, today's decision will be reconsidered," the health minister said.
According to Ekaterine Tikaradze, the situation will be monitored every week, and the next steps will be discussed with the EU countries.
"Therefore, changes will be made to the decision made today.
We have a specific traffic light where there are three components: the number of beds in the country and their load, the coefficient of the spread of infection, and also the spread observed in the last two weeks in the country. We are monitoring this traffic light, and if the situation worsens, we will make decisions to limit certain flights and tighten internal regulations," the minister said.
By the decision of the Interagency Coordinating Council, Georgia will open the border to 5 countries.
