A pilot project is being implemented in the Krtsanisi constituency, due to which the elections will be held in a different format. The novelty involves the use of electronic voting systems during elections. The number of votes will also be counted electronically.
"It is planned to use electronic means of counting at polling stations, which, naturally, will prevent the ballot box for another polling station from being displaced. The main positive innovation is that we will have the preliminary results in a few minutes at the end of the voting, just by pressing one button," says Giorgi Kalandarishvili, the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Georgia.
