However, later Gakharia stated that the Samkharauli Forensic Bureau was contriving a scheme against him, which is why he planned to undergo a drug test abroad.

Georgian Dream _ Democratic Georgia Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze stated earlier that Gakharia has developed an addiction to drugs lately, and his addiction is now so strong that he cannot go without drugs even for a week.
Giorgi Gakharia published his drug test results on 17 September.
''A thorough examination at RUDOLFINERHAUS hospital showed no traces of drugs,'' he said in his social media post.
