"Talks within the framework of the Georgia-Azerbaijan joint commission will continue. Obviously, we have our solid arguments, and we will use these arguments. I am confident that we will come to a decision acceptable for both sides," Davit Zalkaliani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said, adding that the Azerbaijani foreign minister has recently visited Georgia, and at the meeting with him, all principal issues within the bilateral relations, including Davit Gareja monastery complex and the border delimitation was discussed.
"We have discussed Davit Gareja monastery complex and the border delimitation issue, which has not yet been resolved so that both sides will approve the decision," Zalkaliani said, adding that using this issue for political provocations is inadmissible, for it is an immensely sensitive subject.
Mr. Zalkaliani said that he met his Azerbaijani counterpart before tensions flared up between Azerbaijan and Armenia; however, political opponents tried to link these two issues, which is totally unacceptable since similar approach to this extremely delicate issue is irresponsible and anti-national.
