Georgia is about to become the Chairman of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers from November 27 until May 15 of 2020.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the official handover ceremony will take place in Strasbourg on November 27. Georgia will take over France. Davit Zalkaliani, the Foreign Minister of Georgia will pay a visit to Strasbourg.
A press conference will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 26. Extensive information on Georgia's priorities together with a video by Davit Zalkaliani will be released on November 26.
This is the first time Georgia has become a Chairman of the International Organization. During the six months Georgia will organize up to 20 events, within the framework of the Council of Europe.
