Georgia will become the Chairman of the Council of Europe for six months, from November 27. Marija Pejcinovic Buric, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, paid an official visit to Tbilisi.

Within the framework of the visit, Marija Pejcinovic Buric will hold meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Prime Minister of Georgia, President and Speaker of the Parliament. The Council of Europe 2020-2023 Action Plan is also planned to be discussed.

This is the first time that Georgia is becoming the chairman of the International Organization. The official ceremony of handing over the chairmanship will be held on November 27, Strasbourg.
