According to the Foreign Ministry, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs Vakhtang Makharoblishvili has participated in the high-level online meeting of Eastern Partnership top officials.

Representatives of The European External Action Service (EEAS), the European Commission, EU member states, and Eastern Partnership countries were involved in the meeting.

The Georgian First Foreign Minister focused on Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration process and the country's specific priorities, including the process of Georgia's integration into the EU market, and stressed the significance of harnessing the Black Sea potential. He also talked regarding the regional security challenges and the necessity of the EU's active involvement in ensuring the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

At the meeting, they also focused on the rule of law, sustainable digital transformation, the formation of an inclusive society, and other issues.

Eastern partnership meetings, at which top officials discuss different issues of contemporary relevance, are held annually.
