Georgia has sent drinking water to Afghanistan to provide it to people at the Kabul airport.

Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia Revaz Javelidze said that Georgia stands with its international partners and is actively involved in the management of both humanitarian and evacuation processes

''By the decision of the Georgian prime minister, we have sent drinking water as humanitarian aid for people at the airport. Georgia is actively involved in international efforts to evacuate employees at international organizations and institutions from Afghanistan. The Georgian side gave consent to some international organizations, the NED, IRI, ADB, IMF, and WB to assist their employees in evacuation and providing them temporary accommodation in its territory,'' Revaz Javleadze said, adding that a regional transit hub has been formed in the country, with evacuated passengers transported from Kabul to Georgia via charter flights.
