Within the NATO Ministers meeting in Brussels, Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Gharibashvili has met with his Lithuanian counterpart Raimundas Karoblis, according to the Defense Ministry of Georgia.

Irakli Gharibashvili thanked Mr. Karoblis for supporting Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and underscored the importance of strategic partnership with Lithuania.

At the meeting, Gharibashvili elaborated upon principle issues of foreign policy: Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration, its strategic readiness, and transformation processes inside the Defense Ministry.

The Minister stressed that Georgia needs the active support of its international partners to realize its Euro-Atlantic aspirations and, in his words, amicable bilateral relations with Lithuania are paramount.

The parties discussed ways of furthering the cordial bilateral relations and focused on joint efforts to address hybrid warfare challenges. They also agreed on carrying out exchange visits in Lithuania and Georgia.
