Georgian Health Minister: I do not rule out possible stiffening of COVID green pass measures

Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze says the Coordination Council of Georgia is reviewing possibilities for increasing the effectiveness of vaccination and refining the corresponding strategy in Georgia.

In Tikaradze's words, the Georgian government may carry out stricter measures related to vaccination and the COVID green pass.

''The world has started challenging the 72-hour validity of PCR tests in the case of the new coronavirus variant, and we may set 48-hour validity instead. The council has already subjected the issue to discussions, with our professionals and experts to draft an opinion, which will be presented to the council tomorrow. Further decisions will be made, and I do not rule out possible stiffening of COVID green pass measures,'' the health minister stated.
