''I wish to state that this was my initiative; I visited President Aliyev. I want to show my deepest respect to him; Azerbaijanis have a wise leader who thinks about his country's development and his people's wellbeing. I talked with him, and the idea was born,'' the Georgian PM Irakli Gharibashvili commented on Georgia's move to act as a mediator in liberating the Armenian hostages and helping them return to their homeland through Tbilisi.
Gharibashvili stressed that he is glad because of the fact that Azerbaijan and Armenia concluded the humanitarian agreement and Georgia acted as a mediator in this process.
''I am grateful and glad that Georgia has set a precedent for the last 30 years by successfully mediating between the two countries,'' the Georgian PM declared.
