In his statement at the joint press conference with Charles Michel, PM Irakli Gharibashvili stressed that Georgia is a reliable partner of the EU, and the Georgian people are unwavering in their decision to stay loyal to European values and aspirations.
''At the meeting, I once again reaffirmed our readiness to exert more rigorous efforts to implement reforms. I also emphasized that we stand ready to fulfill our obligations under the Association Agreement and prepare to submit our application for EU membership in 2024.
At the meeting, we also focused on the ongoing EU-Georgia cooperation agenda and our future steps aimed at the further integration in the European internal market, approximation of the sectoral policies, and integration in the EU,'' Gharibashvili said, adding that they also made a reference to the Georgia-Russia conflict and the occupation-related issues.
''Finally, I would like once again to thank President Charles Michel for his uniquely unprecedented involvement and readiness to continue our country's support on its path to the EU,'' PM Gharibashvili declared.
