Georgian students, Tatuli Shavishvili and Nini Manjgaladze made speeches at UN Conference in Geneva. 500 spokesmen from 50 countries throughout the world were reviewing defense, economic development, human rights and other important topics during five days. The goal of the Conference was the development of exact model of UNO.

Georgian students shared with Report.ge that various participants of the Youth Conference were assigned to work in various committees presenting the interests of their countries.

“My committee reviewed the issues related to science and technological development. As a result of active discussion we achieved consensus and developed the resolution which reflects the need in implementation of technological achievements and development perspectives of various countries in challenging UN 17 goals of 2030”, said Tatuli Shavishvili to Report.ge

Evaluating the process, Nini Manjgaladze says that she gained particular experience of international relations.

“We worked since 9 in the morning till 7 evening to develop an acceptable resolution for 30 countries of the committee members. One has to compromise a lot in the process and oppose others to defend the interests of your country”, she said.

Georgian representatives at UN modeling Conference were selected by Kant Academy on the basis of competition. The Georgian students will also participate in other UN activities.
