The Georgian prime minister has put forward the timely initiative to offer Tbilisi to our neighbors as a dialogue platform and, by doing so, involve itself in peacebuilding activities. I do hope they will adequately respond to our initiative. As of our European partners, they totally support us in this process," Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani said.
"We are watching the situation closely and are concerned about the rising tensions. This is our neighborhood. We have peacefully cohabitated with our Azerbaijani and Armenian fellow citizens for a very long time. This tendency must be maintained in the future," Zalkaliani said, adding that Georgia, like the International Community, is promoting peace, for it knows perfectly well that possible aggravation of the situation will pose a threat to the entire Black Sea region.
