Gigi Ugulava, a leader of the European Georgia party, has reportedly left the penitentiary institution.
Mr. Ugulava has thanked the president for her decision to pardon him.
"She has signed this pardon act, and I do thank her despite her having verbally abused me," Ugulava said.
Gigi Ugulava expressed his hope that Giorgi Rurua would also be released; otherwise, his party will not participate in the constitutional amendments-related voting.
