"We must always remember that today our country is occupied, we must always remember and know that we have to solve it, through peace, labor and by building a successful European state," the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, said at the event of nominating a majoritarian candidate in Sagarejo, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the beginning of the war in Sokhumi.
As the head of the government pointed out, the people living in their homeland as refugees must return to their homes and live in a unified country.
"I welcome you from a place where people know the price of the fight, courage, and hospitality. We must start with the fact that today 28 years have passed since the beginning of the armed conflict in Sokhumi. Overall, August has been a difficult month for us in recent decades," said Giorgi Gakharia.
