"Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Georgia, and it will remain so," said the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, at a government meeting.
According to him, the newly revealed circumstances resulting from the investigation will not damage the relations between the two countries.
"Everyone should remember that the investigation should be completed, and only then can we make conclusions. The issue is so important that any form of political speculation on this issue is simply detrimental to the country, so it is absolutely unacceptable. Neither the fact of launching an investigation, which is entirely Georgia's domestic affair, or the newly revealed circumstances of the investigation, which we have already shared with our Azerbaijani counterparts, can damage the two countries' strategic partnership. I want to urge everyone again - not to politicize the issue. It is in the interests of the country," Gakharia noted.
