The Senate thinks that the March 8 agreement has not been fully implemented."
According to the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia, the partnership between the United States and Georgia is deepening.
"We are talking about areas like defense, security, democratization, education. Of course, an individual friend of ours from the US, be it a congressman or a senator, may have some questions. As friends of Georgia, they have the right to ask this question, just as we have the right to answer them. It is bad that due to the political process, without considering the interests of the country, some people try to make this strategic partnership part of the political process," Gakharia said.
According to the head of the government, the Georgian government is happy when its strategic partners assess the country's democratization.
"We are pleased that the Secretary of State will assess the democratization process in Georgia. It is in our interest. Whatever the question, we feel comfortable to answer. Georgian citizens feel the price of freedom and justice," the Prime Minister said.
The US Senate has approved the US Defense Authorization Act for the fiscal year 2021, which once again expresses its firm and unwavering support for Georgia.
