"On the 12th anniversary of the August 2008 War, we pay tribute to the soldiers and civilians who lost their lives defending our homeland," the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia wrote on the official Twitter page.
The head of government notes that Russia must stop its destabilizing actions and abide by the 2008 "ceasefire agreement."
"Russia must end its destabilizing actions and fulfill the 2008 Ceasefire Agreement. This war remains an open wound for each and every Georgian," Gakharia notes.
