Giorgi Gakharia, the Prime Minister of Georgia, instructed the Interagency Coordination Council to deliver information about the coronavirus to the citizens daily. Giorgi Gakharia thanked those in charge of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health for informing the public.
According to the Prime Minister, the government of Georgia is taking all necessary preventive steps and fully controls the ongoing process.
"From what I heard over the past two days, the key task of our government, the health system, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health is timely detection of the virus, while our main task as citizens is to stick to basic rules of personal hygiene, which is not difficult. I think we'll handle these tasks together. The government of Georgia is doing everything that seems necessary in this situation," Giorgi Gakharia said.
