A voice message has been published on Mikheil Saakashvili's official Facebook page. The ex-president says in his voice message that he might be detained, and he calls upon citizens to take to the streets.
''I may be detained in Tbilisi now. But you must know we will fight till the end. We all are gathering tomorrow. Lots of people must come, and we will win the elections together,'' Mikheil Saakashvili said.
Earlier, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said at the briefing in the Administration of the Government of Georgia that Mikheil Saakashvili had been detained.
According to the Founder of Mtavari Arkhi (Main Channel) and UNM member Nika Gvaramia, Mikheil Saakashvili has been detained in Tbilisi. The public defender has visited Saakashvili there.
