"Azerbaijan remains one of the main investors in Georgia," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with Irakli Gharibashvili.
According to him, many Azerbaijani companies want to enter the Georgian market.
"We have good experience in joint projects such as energy and transport, which changed the region's political, economic, transportation and energy map. Without a strong partnership between our countries, these projects would have been impossible.
On the last day of the previous year, the Southern Gas Corridor project was completed, which is important not only for the South Caucasus but also for Eurasia. I want to say that this would have been impossible without our cooperation. Therefore, I am grateful to the Government of Georgia for their support. All the other initiatives we have taken together will be a success.
I have just reviewed some information and saw that Azerbaijan remains one of the largest investors in the Georgian economy.
It is also a good indicator of the reforms implemented by your government, which is very positive and conducive for creating an investment climate.
I know that more Azerbaijani companies want to operate in Georgia, and I am sure they will," Ilham Aliyev said.
