According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, he had communicated with the clergy regarding the secret recordings.
As the Prime Minister told reporters, he promised that the investigation would cover everything.
"Of course, I talked to the bishops and the patriarchate; I expressed my concern, my position that we will do everything to stop this dirty campaign. Of course, the role of the media in this process is important. On the other hand, the prosecutor's office will do its best to unveil all this filth very soon and find out the truth," the prime minister said.
