"On October 31, the election procedures will take place in the safest possible environment for the voters," the Executive Secretary of Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia stated.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, all measures have been taken to ensure that those infected with COVID-19 have the right to vote.
As said at the briefing, an opportunity will be presented to the infected at the relevant medical institutions, as well as in quarantine spaces and at home.
"First of all, we would like to thank the election administration, the Central Election Commission, which has developed effective rules to ensure that the election procedures are conducted in the safest environment for voters on October 31. Polling stations will be equipped, and procedures will be performed so that the polling station will be as safe as possible for our citizens on election day.
All measures have been taken to ensure that those infected could vote. Therefore, all conditions are created to ensure maximum voter turnout on October 31," Kobakhidze said.
