Within the framework of a regional working visit, Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Iran, is visiting Georgia.
The official welcoming ceremony took place at Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Alexandre Khvtisiashvili met with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the airport.
During his working visit to Georgia, the Iranian diplomat will meet with the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili, the Speaker of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze, and the Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia. The Iranian Foreign Minister will also honor the fallen fighters' memory for the unity of Georgia and lay a wreath at the Heroes' Memorial.
