“Reforms mainly aim improving tax administration. In 2020, the International Monetary Fund conducted a diagnostic assessment of tax administration at the Revenue Service, carried out in every four years. Following the assessment, 14 indicators have been improved,” the acting Acting Minister of Finance of Georgia Ivane Machavariani, said.
In his words, new infrastructure projects will be assessed following the methodology of state investment management, and projects with the highest social and economic results will be financed.
“After legislative changes in tax policy, our legislation is almost in line with the EU legislation,” Machavariani said.
