Ivanishvili: I will live to see day when Georgian Dream is replaced by robust political party

The Public Broadcaster has sat down for an interview with Bidzina Ivanishvili after his disengagement from politics. Ivanishvili has already made public statements after leaving the political arena, but this is his first interview set to be broadcast today.

Ivanishvili said that he no longer plans to provide his party with consultations.

"The only thing I asked my team is not to restrain from opposing each other.

Our public has seen everything, has learned to make a proper choice and to remain in control.

Nothing will happen to the Georgian Dream in the next four or five years, and some minor parties will not succeed in substituting it.

The party will get new blood and more talented people who will bring in new ideas.

I will live to see the day when the Georgian Dream is replaced by a robust political party," Ivanishvili declared.

On 11 January, Bidzina Ivanishvili wrote on social media that he planned to leave the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party and the political scene.
