“If anyone committed a crime, they should be held accountable, and the media can be no shield for them,” - Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of the capital, told reporters regarding the Human Rights Watch report.
“Having a media outlet or working in the media does not mean that if a person commits a crime, they can use the media as a shield. It is unacceptable. The statement that the work of the media is limited makes me smile. If we have a look at previous years, there have never been this many media outlets. No one can limit media pluralism, and no one will stand in the way of the existence of television, agencies, and the press,” Kaladze said.
