Kaladze says 'challenging trustworthiness of Samkharauli Bureau beyond stupid'

''This man was the head of the government, the prime minister, and now he is challenging the trustworthiness of the Samkharauli Bureau. This is beyond stupid?'' GD mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze said.

According to Kaladze, the campaign, which as he thought would have gained support, with Gakharia eager to get involved in it, was harmless. However, in his words, the ex-PM's statements and inadequate actions raised questions. ''He went to Austria and, as he says, he underwent some tests. However, there are lots of red flags, and unanswered questions,'' Kaladze told PalitraNews.

Earlier, Georgian Dream mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze passed a drug test and noted that no traces of drugs had been found in his system. He called on his colleagues to follow suit.

Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze said that he would no longer have questions if the former PM and current mayoral candidate Giorgi Gakharia agreed to undergo the drug test that very day. However, later Gakharia stated that the Samkharauli Forensic Bureau was contriving a scheme against him, which is why he planned to undergo a drug test abroad.

UNM Chairman and Tbilisi mayoral candidate Nika Melia said that he has no problem with undergoing medical examination, and he had repeatedly done so before.

Georgian Dream _ Democratic Georgia Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze stated earlier that Gakharia has developed an addiction to drugs lately, and his addiction is now so strong that he cannot go without drugs even for a week.

Giorgi Gakharia published his drug test results on 17 September.

''A thorough examination at RUDOLFINERHAUS hospital showed no traces of drugs,'' he said in his social media post.
