State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili is resigning. Today, the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia thanked Tsikhelashvili for her work during the government session.

As the head of the government noted, she implemented many vital initiatives, including "A Step to a Better Future."

"She has been working in the Georgian government for almost four years. Her work links with many important initiatives, including A Step to a Better Future, a serious, forward-looking effort to create normal conditions for our citizens living on both sides of our occupation line and to rebuild civic bridges in various areas such as economics, business, and social and cultural spheres," Gakharia said.

According to the Prime Minister, Tsikhelashvili will continue her work in the diplomatic service. As for her replacement, according to the head of the government, the public will find out about it later.

"I am confident that her qualifications, knowledge, and experience will help to deepen our diplomatic achievements and take us to Europe," Gakharia noted.

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili was appointed as the Minister of State for Reconciliation and Civic Equality in August of 2016.
