A demonstration is underway outside the government building in Ajara, with protesters demanding snap parliamentary elections.

Irakli Kupradze, a leader of the political union Lelo said that they do not plan to let Georgia cede to Ivanishvili.

"We have gathered here to get our voices heard and protect our country from this terror. We will fight till the end; we will fight until Ivanishvili admits his defeat. Our requirement is free and democratic elections in which the voices of residents of Batumi, Ajara, and entire Georgia will be heard. Batumi is a free city, and we will never give up our freedom," Kuprava said.
