According to Lelo for Georgia party leader Badri Japaridze, the government cannot make a political decision in discussing Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili's case.
Japaridze stresses that as the prison hospital is not equipped with all medical devices required to subject the ex-president to all necessary medical tests determined by the Consilium, he should be transferred to the corresponding clinic.
''We are facing great risks here. None of the members of the Georgian Dream can run these risks only because they said they would not let Saakashvili leave prison. What does this even mean? The patient is transferred to a hospital escorted by convoy,'' Badri Japaridze declared.
Mikheil Saakashvili was detained on 1 October.
He declared a hunger strike 25 days ago.
