The political union "Lelo" demands the transfer of the imprisoned third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, to the civil profile clinic.
According to the party statement, the danger of a dramatic aggravation of the situation is increasing daily.
"The Georgian government is showing inexplicable stubbornness and intends to transfer Mikheil Saakashvili to the Republican Hospital, where in case of dramatic aggravation of the situation, there are no proper conditions for treatment and no security guarantees.
We demand that Mikheil Saakashvili be transferred to a properly equipped civic clinic immediately. The state is responsible for the life and health of any prisoner.
The authorities need to be aware of the risks involved and the importance of preserving the life of the imprisoned president," the statement said.
