Majority MP says opposition leaders face life-long sanctions

Head of the Legal Issues Committee Anri Okhanashvil states that the public set life-long sanctions against opposition leaders.

"You all remember Givi Targamadze threatening the Georgian people from the parliament podium, saying that he would subject them to slow torture. The Georgian people bade this man farewell, and he must have been stripped of the right to involve himself in democratic processes.

Gigi Ugulava, who squandered GEL 50 mln and was convicted for this offense, is far from being a politician.

Our people no longer want those at the helm of the country who used to steal GEL 50 mln and subject them to threats," Okhanashvili said.
