Mamuka Mdinaradze has discussed the constitutional changes and mentioned that the agreement with the opposition had been achieved on the number of mandates only. At the same time, justice must be distinguished from politics.
He says that the agreement with opposition consisted of two parts: one part is the number of mandates to be 120/30, which is under no threat; the second part is that politics must not intervene into justice.
“Opposition misinforms the population by attempting to present a person who has stolen forty-eight million GEL from the budget and used the money for the benefit of his political party as a political prisoner. By doing so, they are trying to mix politics, politicians, the ruling team and present as if it was all agreed. Both parts of the agreement are comprehensively described. There is no responsible power in the world, nor a foreign partner, who would directly say that you have interfered with the justice, or the president’s competence, or the responsibilities of law enforcement agencies” – Mdinaradze said in his interview with Imedi TV.
