Members of the opposition parties are holding a meeting with non-governmental organizations regarding the amendments to the election legislation.

According to Paata Manjgaladze, a member of Strategy Aghmashenebeli, the rules for holding elections are fundamentally changing to increase public trust in the election process.

"We must bring closer the positions of the parties that are not in the parliament and organizations that were not in the format of the working group in the parliament. This technology is being introduced for the first time. We are talking about three types of technology: face recognition software, new form newsletters, and protection of votes under a high-resolution camera. Also, the administration is changing. There will now be 17 members, nine nominated by the parties and eight chosen on a professional basis. An electronic register of complaints is being set up to see where the complaint was written, and, most importantly, the protocol cannot be changed without explanation," Paata Manjgaladze said.
