The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, has released a "Western Manifesto" from the Gori Military Hospital.
According to the third president of Georgia, "there has never been these many Russian special services infiltrated in the Georgian state since Igor Giorgadze was the minister. Georgian TV and radio space are full of Russian content, and not only Russian but also government channels are openly engaged in Russian propaganda." According to him, Georgia's foreign policy may soon change dramatically. Therefore, he publishes the so-called Western Manifesto.
According to Saakashvili, "it is necessary to sow and propagate hatred towards political opponents, to demand their destruction and to stop calls. Otherwise, the political environment will never improve; moreover, there will be no peace and order in society. Without these conditions already reflected in the Georgia-EU Association Agreement, Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration is in great danger. It is necessary to improve relations with our allies in the European Union and NATO - the Baltic states and a group of so-called Visegrád Group countries. Georgia's current attitude towards these countries is detrimental to the country's interests. Aggressive and often offensive rhetoric in response to their friendly criticism only hinders our rapprochement with the West, as these countries are and have always been the most active advocates and ambassadors of our interests in the EU and the free Western world in general. Constant dialogue is necessary with the main capitals of the EU: Berlin, Paris, Rome, etc., and trying to find common ground with them. Convince them of the importance of Georgia's integration with Europe for the prosperity and stability of the continent as a whole, as well as for the restoration of historical justice for the Georgian people and their well-being and security. Have an agreed and synchronized strategy with the other two countries associated with the EU: Ukraine and Moldova. Establish a regular format with them and the above-mentioned lobbyists for our region's integration into the EU and NATO. Attempt to increase the EU's share in foreign trade."
According to Saakashvili, Georgia must be ready for the expected serious geopolitical shifts.
"Our most important and short-term task should be the involvement in the format of the Three Seas Initiative - the Baltic Sea, the Adriatic Sea, and the Black Sea. It is true that this format unites only 12 EU member states in the three seas, but this geopolitical alliance is strengthening so rapidly in the areas of regional security as well as business cooperation, infrastructure, investment, trade, energy, and digital security, which may soon be the most important for us. Following Russia's annexation of Crimea to the Black Sea and its unprecedented militarization, the region as a whole and the West are seriously concerned about Russia's desire to gain full dominance over the Black Sea. Consequently, the Intermarium is emerging as a key regional geopolitical actor and a flexible and effective platform, primarily to quell Russia's geopolitical ambitions and halt its further expansion. We have less and less time left to stop Georgia's geopolitical catastrophe. We need to go back to our historical foundations from which we were once forcibly removed. This is the historic mission of our nation, and this is our duty to our homeland and our future generations.
