Minister of Justice Rati Bregadze offers Mikheil Saakashvili to be transferred to the Gori Military Hospital of the Ministry of Defense.
Rati Bregadze announced the decision at a special briefing.
As Bregadze noted, Mikheil Saakashvili will be transferred to Rustavi 12th Penitentiary after treatment.
"We suggest that he be transferred to the Giorgi Abramishvili Military Hospital of the Ministry of Defense. This is a place where the state will protect his health and safety. With this decision, we are protecting the health and life of Mikheil Saakashvili and other people who are now starving.
After completing the treatment, he will be transferred to Rustavi 12th Penitentiary Institution.
It should also be emphasized that in case of any kind of provocation by the opponents, which may hinder the transfer of the prisoner and the subsequent work of the medical staff, the prisoner will be transferred to the 18th facility, and any offender will be held accountable before the law," Bregadze said.
