According to Shota Tutberidze, the third president's lawyer, Mikheil Saakashvili, agreed to the lawyers' request not to stop the course of treatment and medication until Monday. He made the statement shortly after leaving Gori Hospital.
"He has a great desire and opportunity to attend the trial and present himself before the Georgian society, not before a fair court, but before the Georgian society. We will see what happens on Monday, and naturally, no one can take away his right to protest. I would like to clarify that in connection with the rally announced on November 29, this rally, according to Mr. President, and in general, should be and is strictly within the framework defined by the Constitution of Georgia.
