Irakli Gharibashvili, the Minister of Defense of Georgia, remembered the cadets killed in the February 1921 battle for Georgia's independence.

According to the Ministry of Defense, Irakli Gharibashvili laid a wreath at the memorial at the Kojori-Tabakhmela territory and paid tribute to the memory of the heroically deceased youth with a minute of silence. Vladimer Chachibaia, the Lieutenant-General, the incumbent Chief of Georgian Defense Forces, and representatives of the Georgian Defense Forces were at the memorial.

February 25 is the day of the Soviet occupation. The cadets fought for the freedom of Georgia from February 17 to 25, in 1921 at Yalguja, Kojori, and Tabakhmela.
