The Minister of Defense of Georgia Juansher Burchuladze is paying an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In Baku, he met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov.
The Minister of Defense of Georgia thanked Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov for his strong support for our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The ministers reviewed regional and world security issues at the meeting and discussed threats and challenges. The parties stressed the need to deepen and strengthen bilateral and multilateral international cooperation. In particular, during the bilateral discussion, a special emphasis was on the participation of the Azerbaijani military in multinational military exercises, as well as cooperation in the field of military education. It was noted that the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia trilateral joint exercises and expert-level meetings bring our country's military even closer and strengthen interoperability.
Later, Juansher Burchuladze and Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov signed the 2022 bilateral military cooperation plan.
