The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, H.E Fatma Ceren Yazgan.
The sides discussed the fruitful cooperation between the two countries' law enforcement agencies and discussed the security challenges in the region; in particular, the focus was on intensive continuation of cooperation when it comes to fighting organized crime and cross-border issues.
At the end of the meeting, Vakhtang Gomelauri stressed the need for dynamism in the meetings between the parties and the importance of the Joint Security Commission's activities.
