Wendy Morton, the Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas at the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, said that the condemn control exercised by Russia over the regions of Georgia.
Within the framework of her visit, Wendy Morton visited the Odzisi village near the occupation line.
Morton said that she came here to see the so-called boundary line separating Georgia from the region of South Ossetia since 2008 and realize how the barbed wires and Russian military men's presence affect locals here.
In the Minister's words, the conflict resulted in the segregation of families, control imposed by Russians on the residents, and their eviction from their land.
"The U.K. resolutely supports Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, condemns Russia's control over the occupied regions of Georgia and its actions to destabilize the situation in the countries which it perceives as threats," Morton stressed.
