A member of For Georgia Political Council and MP Mikheil Daushvili said that those politicians who were concerned with this issue more than others underwent a drug test earlier than others.
In Daushvili's words, Giorgi Gakharia has passed similar tests many times and will do so in the future.
In his statement, Daushvili stressed that Kakha Kaladze is avoiding debates with Giorgi Gakharia, trying to put this subject aside.
''This issue appears to have thrown the Georgian Dream party in a hysterical state, with this being absolutely beyond my understanding. However, the big picture can be seen clearly; those who were more concerned about this issue than others underwent a drug test first,'' he stated.
Georgian Dream mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze has passed a drug test and noted that no traces of drugs had been found in his system. He called on his colleagues to follow suit.
